Miah Gill

Miah Gill’s work consists of a range of mediums, from photography to paint to editorial style digital works. Her work always revolves around the themes of mental health and exploring a variety of viewpoints and depth into the subject matter.

For the Beyond and Between exhibition Miah has delved further into how our brains work and how these chemical connections and reactions can affect us and our emotions. She has linked this to how chemical reactions happen in space like this but on an amplified scale. She has done extensive research using the ESA website and a variety of psychology sources to try and transfer and condense this heavy information into more abstracted concepts as well as using bold colours to attract the viewer. These particular pieces depict neutron stars colliding and how this creates a lot of heavy elements such as gold, again these type of reactions on a much smaller scale in our brains with neurons firing away
